The Psilocybe tampanensis is quite rare and was first collected in 1977 near Tampa, Florida, by mycologist Steven Pollock. Also known by their nickname "Philosopher's Stones," the magic truffles produced by Psilocybe tampanensis are yellow-brown and the most potent of the iMicrodose varieties. Compared to the Mexicana and Galindoi varieties, they can vary quite drastically in size, and it's not uncommon to find one the size of a fist.
